Not true. If the house they live in is still warm then they stay awake. Hibernation is to escape the cold so if it isnt cold they dont hibernate... And yes, I do know this as I have owned and looked after quite a few hedgehogs, they make excellent pets but the ones I looked after were released... Well, some of them were.
